About us/ chapter · About

We get ideas. And we build them.

We're in Città di Castello, in the Tiber Valley, between Florence and Rome. A place we chose, not one we ended up in.

/ How we are put together

“Digital Hub” is not a word we picked for the sound of it.

We are not a studio and we are not an agency. We are a group of professionals and small firms who work together, and who gather the right people around the table for each project.

No departments, no handovers

No salesperson takes you in and hands you to an office that has never heard your voice. Whoever joins the project joins to do their part, and does it for a living.

The team forms around the project

Software, design, data, apps: the people that job needs are the ones who come in. You don't pay for a structure sitting still, waiting for work.

That is why it comes out made to measure

Work cut to fit comes from people chosen for that work. It is the difference between a project built for you and a package bent towards you.

/ Ideas

From the scribble to the screen.

Something occurs to us, we sketch it on paper, and that is where the real work starts: taking it all the way to a screen somebody opens.

With a client, we start from their sheet.
/ Our own products

These we came up with ourselves.

Nobody asked us for them. We keep them running, and what we learn in there ends up in the work we do for you.

/ House rules

These aren't up for negotiation.

They hold for the big client and the small one, and they hold when they cost us the job: when an idea doesn't stand up, we say so before anyone signs.

Built around the way you work

We don't bend a package to fit your work. We look at how you actually work, and build that, in the words you use.

We stay with you after the handover

Delivery isn't goodbye. When something breaks you ring a number and reach someone who knows that software, not a form.

No retainer to keep it running

You pay for the work done, quoted in writing before anything starts. Maintenance is there if you want it, and you can stop it.

The software stays yours

Code and credentials are yours from the start. If you ever move it elsewhere, you don't need our permission.

We are here after the handover too

Tell us what's on your mind.

First call free. You leave knowing what's worth doing, and what isn't.
